Vilaka lake and island pathway with pontoon bridge and Marienhaus castle ruins
History and culture
Lake Viļaka has an island of 1.8 ha, fragments of the Marienhausen castle, built in 1293, have been preserved there. A walking trail on the island (442 m). One of the longest pontoon bridges in Latvia, 144 m long, leads to the island of the lake.
